Everyone wants to trust other people. We want to be secure that what the other person says will happen will happen. That they'll come to our party and they'll be there when we're sad and they'll have our back when things are going wrong. At the same time we mean it when we say these things to other people too. We have the desire to do what we say we will. The problem is that those who know how to stick by a good promise are few and far between. Most of us are just in it while things are good and as soon as they get tough we cut and run.
Case in point was what happened to this chick Jenn on "The Hills" a reality tv show based in Beverly Hills California. She's the friend of two other girls, Heidi and Lauren who are best friends, and unfortunately she liked the same guy as Lauren. She seemed to respect that Lauren and the guy Brodi were having something but then on her birthday both the other girl Heidi and the same guy Brodi seemed completely dismissive of what had gone on between Lauren and Brodi. To the point where she was uncomfortable with sitting too close to him but both of them egged her on to ignore any concerns about Lauren's feelings.
In the end Lauren got upset but soon seemed to patch things up with both Heidi and Brodi but still didn't forgive Jenn. The stuff is caught on tape. Heidi, back on Lauren's good side disavows any responsibility whatsoever for what happened and let's Jenn take the wrap saying "that's between the two of you." My God!!
Reality TV is kinda cool, it lets you see in full color who is lying and when and what they lied about. It totally opens ones eyes to exactly how things go down in a way that people cannot deny. It is awesome. I think I'm going to start recording all my encounters. Probably not but it'd be nice.
