Is life all fun and games or serious?

Life, as I see it is about pleasure, pain and death. Some believe in an afterlife and others do not.
For those that do, who are Christians or Muslim it's one big test and the players get a reward or a booby prize that lasts forever at the end. For others they may get to play again indefinitely at a higher or lower level depending on how well they played previously, until they realise that the whole thing is pointless and they stop i.e. Nirvana . These would be the Buddhists and the Hindus. Still others have more interesting versions of the game but mostly the point of an afterlife is to show that life itself is pointless.
For those that disbelieve in an afterlife, life would also seem to be pointless. Let's review the facts. You are a human being. You are one of billions on the planet when you die the world will not skip a beat whether you're rich, poor, handsome or ugly.
Our planet which is trillions of times bigger than any of us sits in an insignificant solar system. The solar system is one of hundreds of thousands in our galaxy and our galaxy is one of hundreds of thousands of galaxies if not millions or billions, in the universe. The entire galaxy could be snuffed out and the universe wouldn't skip a beat.
"So what" you say, "doesn't bother me" and you're right so what? Well that's the point why should anything be serious. Aside from physical and and to a far lesser degree, mental pain and even that humour helps with, why should anything be serious? We are all going to die and we're never coming back unless you believe in reincarnation or the Jehovah Witness view of resurrection. Why shouldn't we try out every ride on this amusement park as long as it doesn't lead to pain or suffering.
Why are you working? Can't you find something that just allows you to get by while you pursue what you really want to do? You're never going to be alive again this is it! And you never know when the bus is going to leave!
So what am I saying? Leave your kids at the side of the street? Get into a street fight? Screw around on your wife? No, I'm saying look at your life. It will only ever be as good as you make it. Arrange your life in such a manner as to maximise your enjoyment, stop fooling yourself tomorrow may never come. Integrate all of the rides today but don't try the rides that may lead to a quicker demise or long term suffering and pain for those around you.
That said though who am I to make the rules :) do what you want, if it bothers me you'll hear about it and we can talk like sensible people :)
