Is Hell like Hot?

Home | About me

People say that they hate politicians, lawyers and used car salesmen but since everyday we all act in the same capacity as each of these three is that why the bible says that most people are going to Hell?

Is it because we hate ourselves and once we see how "ugly" we are inside and how shiny God and Jesus are (on judgment day) that we send ourselves to Hell?

If we can use life as a metaphor for what happens in the after-life, maybe it is that we end up on "streets", a junkie and try as we might we can't kick the habit. Unlike the prodigal son we just stay where we are in squalor. If that's the case, why is a trip to Hell considered one way then? Surely in the fullness of time someone in Hell might change their minds and then go to heaven? It seems like that's not the case though.

If people can't change their minds about committing themselves to Hell is it that once dead we lose all freedom of choice? That's the only way it seems that one can be sure that people stay where they are. But why take away freedom of choice after death, what's the angle with that?

Let's get back to how each of us is like a used car salesperson etc for a moment. We all misrepresent ourselves, or tweak the truth just a little to make our statements just a little easier for people to believe or take interest in. It isn't really wrong per say right, harmless even since it's mainly with family and friends? It's not as if we want to hurt anybody. If it was a stranger, we would never exaggerate. We would be honest and truthful even at our own expense. Have you ever sold a car? Were you completely truthful about all the problems that the car had or why you were selling it? You didn't want to be the chump who got stuck with a dead useless car right? All you had to do was sell it quickly before the buyer realised the truth and just slink off and forget about how you cheated them, yeah?

How about that fender-bender or the collision on the road? You didn't mean it and now all of a sudden you're looking at paying hundreds or thousands of dollars from your pocket for one little mistake. It's not fair is it and it could be worse, you could have been drinking or speeding or cutting-off traffic, you could be going to jail, all for one fraction of a second.

When you think about it, it was the other person's or people's fault. They should have slowed down, sped up, stopped, turned, blown their horn, or something. You shouldn't have to pay. So you lie to make sure justice, real justice is done. The kind of justice where people take your side, the way it's supposed to be.

That said maybe no one goes to Hell, maybe we all go to our own heaven where justice as we see it, is always done except that those who fool themselves get exactly what they want but they don't realise it's hurting them. Those who "fess up" and admit wrongdoing, well they get to accept guilt, forgive themselves and move on with their lives whether as a "spirit" or as a person. This seems like something that makes sense to me, because if there's one thing that would have most people going to "Hell", including me it would be having to admit that I was wrong about something especially when I didn't have to.

Also it appears to tie in to what happened with Adam and Eve, neither of them could take responsibility for their actions and admit that whatever started the situation, each of them made their own choice (or so it seemed). In addition it also suggests why people wouldn't ever leave "Hell" even if free choice was still running. It seems like hell is really a place we go because we get all worked up and don't accept reality. Hell might just be a really stressful place. Lol!
